Soft and easy donuts

Homemade donuts that have nothing to envy to those of the baker, which can be made plain or filled with jam, Nutella or apple.. The dough is flavored with lemon zest which brings a touch of freshness and oil taste fade


350g flour

2 eggs

40g sugar

120ml lukewarm milk

12 g fresh yeast or 5 g dry yeast

Zest of a lemon

5g salt

30g softened butter

Fine sugar to coat the donuts

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm milk.

In the bowl of the food processor, put the flour with the sugar, salt and zest. Add eggs and milk with yeast

Work the dough so that it is homogeneous, when it comes away from the walls add the pieces of butter, continuing to knead to incorporate them well into the dough. The dough will be very soft. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.

Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut donuts and place them on a baking sheet, cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Heat an oil bath at 190°, immerse the donuts and cook for about 1 minute on each side, put them on absorbent paper then coat them with sugar
